The District of Highlands Community Hall is located at 729 Finlayson Arm Road
We offer ample parking, 2 EV charging stations, and 1 accessible parking spot.

Capacity:

  • Private Rentals: maximum 60 people
  • Community Group & Commercial: maximum 100 people

Hours of Use: 

The Community Hall hours of use are between 7:00AM -10:00 PM daily.

Type of Use: 

  • COMMUNITY GROUP: means registered non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide opportunities that are open to the public.
  • COMMERCIAL: means a business or organization conducting meetings or offering programs including seminars and training.
  • PRIVATE EVENTS: means a family or social gathering and ticketed events.

Applications:

Rental applications will be accepted starting January 1st of each year for rentals requested within that year (January to December) and will be processed in the order they are received. 

To apply to rent the Community Hall please submit a Facility Rental Application Form below. The Application is subject to District approval. If the District accepts the booking, then the District will draft a Facility Rental Agreement and provide it to the Applicant for signature.

Event Details
Please note that if you are serving alcohol during the event you will require a Special Event Permit. Please contact the Province’s Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch Licensing https://justice.gov.bc.ca/lcrb/sep. A copy must be provided to the District prior to your event.
A copy of the food service provider’s business licence and Island Health Permit will be required.
This includes refrigerator, dishes and cutlery. No cooking facilities are provided.
