Official Community Plan
The 2007 Highlands' Official Community Plan was amended in November 2013 whereby the whole of Schedule A was replaced. This amendment to Schedule A included:
- A new Development Permit Area for the entire District to promote energy and water conservation
- An expanded chapter on Energy, Greenhouse Gases and Climate Change
- Establishing a Development Approval Information Area fore the entire District
- Restyled maps
- A Local Food section
- An updated Heritage section
